HIMALAYAS FACTS
1.Himalayas is form 50 millionyear ago. When large landmass moved in plates. Indian tectonic plate and Eurasian plate collide with each other and due to pressure of collision a fold mountain is formed that name is ''The Great Himalayas'' and this process take million of years.
2.The Himalayas are arched, they are approximately spread over 2500 Km long. The Breadth of Western Himalayas is 350 Km and Eastern Himalayas is 150 Km.
3.Himalayas was located between tethys sea, Godwana land and Angara land. Due to the collision , it came up in the form of fold mountains.
4.Himalaya is spread over to Nanga parvat in Jammu and Kashmir in west and tibetan plateau in the east.
5.The highest range of Himalayas is 6000 meters and it's breadth is 120 t0 190 Km. Its name is Himadri.
6.Main range of Himalayas are:- (1)Trans Himalayas (2)Old Himalayas (3)Lesser Himalayas (4)Shiwaliks hills or Outer Himalayas.
7.The Himalayas are now up to a height of 60% only.
8.Himalayas are the most dangerous mountain range in the world due to its tempperatue and their weak rocks.
9.Mount Everest is the highest peak of Himalayas which is 8849 meter and its Tibetan name is Chamolugma.

11.Nepal's peak Dholgiri and Anpurna divide eastern and western Himalayas.

14.Kanchanzonga height is 8586 meter. and it is located between Nepal and sikkim border.

16.The first climbers who climb Mt. Everest 1st was Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary.
17.First women Mt. Everest climber was Junko Tabie from Japan.
18.First Woman Mt Everest climber was Bachendri pal.
19.Till 2022 there are 6048 climbers to climb Mt. Everest succesfully.
